Glow plug controller

Are there any alternatives to the pricey NGK controller modules that anyone has found? Or is there a dealer that doesn’t want 300-400 dollars for one? NGK dc12v controller r81nj for a 1526 shuttle

'Module' is likely a timer & a relay but could also get input from a temp sensor. I'm about to wire in push buttons to GP relays to override the automatic stuff when I want a little more heat to start. (old CUT, cold SxS)

If the relay is in the module, I'd just add one separately with the button and let the old stuff sit, at least for a while. That works pretty much regardless of 'what was'.

Spec the relay to what the module is rated at, or a fuse that it's protected by if you're not familiar with 12v DC and/or don't have a wiring diagram we can help you with.

If it's an NGK controller with an NGK part number you may be able to buy it for far less from NGK

more issues with the connector to the glow plugs than the controller itself. That connector isn't very good, most people cut the connector off and wire it direct to the glow plug power rail.
