Glow plug indicator

You might try adding a 'block heater.' I put one on my 370 and it works GREAT!!! Plug it in for 20 mins to half an hour and it's warm to the touch. Just get a block heater the right size for the freeze plug in the engine. I don't remember the size but it was like 21mm or so.

The freeze plug diameter behind the starter is 40mm. I'm not sure about the one on the rear of the cylinder head, but it may indeed be smaller.

There is a block heater for a Volvo that fits perfectly. I bought the one currently in my tractor at NAPA some years ago. Kind of irritated me that the cord fell off and I have to remove the starter to put it back in. :(

I guess it is time for an update. I tried the guy in Portland and he had one. $35 no guarantee. Only accepts checks and won't ship until check clears the bank. So I ordered one from Valley in Virginia. Two weeks and $50 later I got one. Sure missed my tractor. Tomorrow is the big day. Gonna put everything back together. I have had a great time reading all your comments. Thanks..........Terry
