Go big or go for features?

Thanks everyone for your valuable input. This weekend I plan to talk to my neighbor who has been kind enough to bushhog my land for me. I'll ask him if the current land condition requires a larger tractor. If it doesn't I'll chose between the BX23 and the MF GC2310. If it does, oh my there will be many choices, JD790, Kubota L2800/3400, Kioti CK30/DK35, Mahindra 3015, MF 1433 to name a few. Of course I'll then be saving my money for a future backhoe.

BTW, LadyRider threatens to make me sleep with my tractor if I spend too much money. That aint a bad thing is it hehehe. Ouch, she just pinched me.

Sleeping with one good tractor it just might be, sleeping with a smaller tractor for the smaller things and a larger tractor for the larger things would be worth it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This past weekend I went out and watched my neighbor bush-hogged my land. I definitelty need a larger tractor to be able to do that to the wet land area on the lake shore.

On the Sunday paper I found a 2yr old 185hr JD5105 (48 HP) with 4WD, FEL & 6ft bushhog for $20K. Although I thought it was a good buy, I just simply could not come up with the money /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Since my land will be under construction, I will have at least 3-4 months to find a good tractor. Until then I am enjoying the prolonged toy-buying task.
