Hey Junk - you really want a front broom? I have a 5' sweepster that has been surplus since our road got fixed. It has a under-mount frame and drives from the rear pto. It has a 12v lift/lower but to swing left & right you have to get off the seat and do it manually - which I'm sure you'd put up with for about 2 days before automating it. About price, you said you've been offering $700 but I won't accept more than about $350 no matter what you say. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Let me know if interested.

Junk,

Could you go back edit your posts and add the crisp smell of the snow blendng harmoniously with diesel exhaust? Oh yea, the engine and attatchment noise running at PTO RPM would be a nice touch! My favorite thing about tractors is how they take a pile of back breaking work and make it a hoot.

I sure wish it would snow here. I have owned my L3130 for two winters and have never had to plow snow with it yet.

Does your neighbor complain much of you blowing all of that snow in his yard? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Junkman, you can angle the broom. You have to raise the broom get off the tractor move a lever then you can swing the broom 2 positions to the left or 2 to the right.

Front rotary sweepers do an excellent job of polishing the ice below the snow. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The town where I live, Waupaca, Wi, uses a very large broom on a large 4wd New Holland tractor to clean the snow in our area. It does a nice job. They also use a small Powertrack type 4wd with broom for sidewalks. Its kind of wierd seeing this huge 4wd Tractor coming down a snowy road sweeping it off to the side. they also have plows for when it gets too heavy or deep... JohnJ
