Going price to plow

What is the going price for shredding and plowing per acre, I am new to the business and need a ballpark on where to start. Will be cutting and baling hay I believe around 25 a bale is the going rate around my area in south texas

If you have a County Extension Agent, he should be able to fill you in on what is charged locally. Or, if the State of Texas has an online AG. site, there should be a list of prices charged for custom work, but more than likely last years prices charged.

Kansas does quite a bit of research on what custom work costs. Here is a link to their 2012 projection, the latest I found. I also found a Nebraska survey but they did not have a lot of people responding. It is something that might be of interest but note their 2012 baling projection us half of what you say it goes or in your part of the country.
