Going rate for dozer and operator?

Can a the wheel-loader equivalent of a 963 be as effective at pushing and piling as an actual 963? Specifically, I'm talking about a Cat 950 with root rake and clamps.

I have no experience clearing with a wheel loader and would wonder how they did on a less than perfect surface like a quarry. They certainly have the weight and power, but is it effective in loose dirt not to mention mud?
