Re: Going to go get my \"new\" PT 425
( OK, back....so many attachments......hmmm Tried moving something clearly beyond the limits of the tractor using the forklifts. Did not work. It is a former basketball setup with a hug concrete ball at the bottom. Tried smashing its with a sledge hammer....No luck. Any ideas? Pics later. )
I m assuming that you just pcked up the back end of the PT425 instead of picking up the forks (since the counterbalanced weight of the PT is too low). Make sure that it is as close to the attachment plate as possible.
Is it close to your capacity (ie, can you pick it up with the tractor straight, but then when you articulate the tractor it nose dives?). If so, maybe a little extra weight in the back will help, weight on the rear hicth or someone sitting on the engine cover (careful, it gets hot).
Maybe you can put the forks OVER the concrete base (with the basket support post against the attachment plate), and use ropes looped under the concrete base to the forks. This would move the weight of the basketball setup closer to the COG of the PT425.
