Very nicely done. Brazing cast iron is a very good fix. Better, in my opinion, than nickel welding in a lot applications. I find that there are fewer and fewer welders that are good at brazing. Kind of a lost art. Lots (including me, a machinist) can braze, but few are really good at it. I agree that good preheat and slow cooling is very important. Good point about getting it too hot too.
