Golf cart - what's a good one? Where to find used?

I've got a Yamaha G-14 with a gas engine, clutch kit and a four inch lift package with tires and wheels from Buggies unlimited with oversized rear ATV tires. It has the nerf bars and and low windshield with a trailer hitch, lights and larger bumper.

It covers most all ATV trails including forging some streams and does it on about a tank of fuel a summer. It's hard to beat when you can have a friend out for a trail ride with cup holders full!!

Hi all

I just found out golf carts are fun to ride when camping or just around house. Where have I been the last bunch of years? I'm no golfer so golf carts are new to me.

What is a good brand of golf cart? Where could one get used ones, at reasonable price; of course. I have heard the batteries are expensive? My son-in-law has one that has 6 - 8 volt batteries in it and one of the batteries is bad. I also wondered if he could use 4 - 12s and he thought he couldn't. He says they are special batteries and 4 - 12s don't give as much driving time as 6-8s.

I have one neighbor that has a Yahama, no problems, and another neighbor has a Club Car, raised and large tires, uses it for fence fixing, spraying, checking on cows, same as anyone else would use a 4 wheeler, has had it about 8 years and other than tires and one set of shocks, he just replaced the carb, $149. He really treats it bad and it keeps coming back for more. Another buddy has a CC and he likes it around the house because it doesn't tear up his yard like his Rhino does and it rides good. Wife is looking for a CC also if she can find one cheap enough, I want an RTV but just can't turn loose of that kind of money.

Mine isn't a golf cart.. but is a CUV type vehicle.. it's a yerfdog scout... Kinda a cheapy brand from what i gather.. but it gets the work done on the farm..
