Golf Carts?

Thinking about getting a golf cart...
What would the process be to put a solar panel on the golf cart, could you do it and how well/efficient would it work?

We just bought one as well. It's a '95 EZGO Medalist/TXT 36v electric. We're just learning about them. Here's another site for carts as well Buggies Gone Wild Golf Cart Forum . We like ours but don't have any knowledge with solar power on them.

I picked up an 86 EZGO marathon (gas/2 stroke) a couple years ago. The guy had painted it with a new paint job (although Jeff Gordan theme.. I'm not a nascar fan), just had the motor rebuilt and replaced the generator. So basically brand new. IT had a lift, so at the price I got it for I sprung for a new set of 12" low profile rims and tires... It's snazzy, fun, and nice to get around the neighborhood on! I probably have to fill the tank about twice a year.

Just do an internet search for solar powered golf cart you will have a whole day of reading. Most of the commercial systems are right pricey. You need a panel, mounts and a controller. I prefer gas myself. I gas it up maybe three times a year.

Flesable panels would be better tyhan the fixed glass type.
