Good Boots?

My employer pays for a new pair of boots every two years, up to $150 and it's about time to get a new pair and was wondering what kind of boots everybody likes, how good they are, how long they generally last, and about how much they cost. They have to be steel toe and water proof and I think I'm gonna go with non insulated. I would be willing to put extra on the $150 if they would last the whole two years! Seems like you can't hardly buy a pair of boots to last that long!

I have a pair of Carolina boots that I like a lot. Steel/composite toe are available, as well as gore-tex lining. They're a little heavy due to the shank in the sole, but you may not mind that.

Carolinas are actually what I'm wearing now, steel toe loggers no gore-tex, but they are waterproof or they were, lol. They are completely shot, been good boots though. Been wearing them for a little over two years. Considering I didn't treat them with anything I can't complain much!

I have a pair of Justin steel toed boots that I've been wearing for over 2 yrs. I think I paid about $160.00 .I've gotten my $ worth out of them. The other + is their made right here in the US. Not many boots are made in the US any more. I buy made in the US when I can.... I'm tired of shipping my hard earned $$ to china town

the last boots i had before retiring and working 12 hours shifts on concrete floors were Carolina they are a good boot.

Red wing they are the best boots I ever had. this pair is three years old and going strong. I do need to get the eyelets replaced because they have worn and are hard on the laces. Can't complain, paid $135 and they feel good.

Last boots I got were Red Wings. I was specifically looking for the USA tag. Not sure that all their boots are USA made. Laceups that are comfortable but they are boots for weekend work/play. I wear casual shoes for work. I still have some Red Wing Irish Setter hiking boots I got in 1977 and wore them for 6 winters. Feet are bigger now but I really liked them back when my feet fit them.
