Good deal on a Kioti?

Giving it some thought, the Kubota L2501, BransTYM 2515h, LS MT225HE, and New Holland Workmaster 25 have 3 ranges; of course, those last two are the same machine. Those machines all have the loader controls on the tower, which I share your opinion of.

I really like the Mahindra 16 series, Mitsubishi builds good tractors. I like seeing the direction Mahindra and Mitsubishi are going together, because I think it really bodes well for the whole lineup.

Unfortunately, like your Kioti dealer, I couldn't get past my Mahindra dealer.
They do have three range hydros. I know the JD and Kubota don't offer shuttle shift but price alone and the treadle and steering linkage on the Kubota rule them out for me. Sucks because I grew up thinking I'd own a Kubota someday.I'm not sure about the others. So far, I'm not impressed with LS or New Holland so I don't even mention them. I'm not touching a Branson until they get through their rebranding.

I was confident enough in the Mitsubishi setup that I bought my Mahindra 5 hours away. In 3 years and 1050 hours, it's never been back to the dealer once. Then again, I really don't like people I don't know working on my stuff so it would have to be something serious for me to let them touch it.

While I was open to Kioti from the start, I wasn't thinking that's the direction I'd go; I grew up with Kubota, and owned a Deere, so I presumed I'd go in that direction. I had so many local options though, so I game them all solid looks. Some I was impressed with, others not so much, and others still- bad dealers. It seems we had similar wants, preferences, and overall thoughts lol.

The build quality of the L2501 was great, it felt good, but that treadle is so uncomfortable, and I was not sold on the steering setup. Plus, the dealers know they've got a good product, and they don't play around.

The LS/New Holland I mentioned is a solid machine, because it's simple. Very simple. It doesn't have all the electrical points to fail; the problem for me? The operator platform is tight, uncomfortably so for someone of my stature.

Branson? Great product, great dealer; the TYM dealer down the road? Not so great. One of those dealers will lose a brand, and I didn't want to depend on the existing TYM dealer. Still, a lot of respect for Kukje, RIP, one love, not forgotten.

Deere? I loved my 1025R, but wasn't about to buy new from Mama Deere given their right-to-repair opposition. Admittedly, they made my job easier by not offering the machine I wanted, but none the less. I don't like that the larger 2 series only have a two-range rear, the 3025E is built to a price point, and a 3025R doesn't exist. I'll give her credit though, Mama knows ergonomics.

My Mahindra dealer didn't want to sell me a tractor, wasn't interested; that's an odd way to make a sale.

I'm probably not as competent a wrench as you, so I like having the comfort of a solid dealer behind me. That said, I do my own maintenance and am appreciating the CK10's ease of service. It's physical size alone makes everything a little easier than it was on the subcompact Deere.

I think you made a wise choice. It's a fine tractor. I still want one. They really look well made and thought out. I was looking at one at a dealership yesterday.

The only thing I can definitely say I don't like on the Kioti is the backhoe mounting setup.

The backhoe setup for the CK10 is bad, really bad, I don't understand why they'd have such a shallow- departure angle(?).

It may be the single worst design feature of the series, and for the price a backhoe commands?

As quick as you put hours on your Mahindra it may not be too long before you find yourself taking a serious look at the new CK20!

Yep. I agree. The Mahindra definitely has one of the best setups for backhoe mounting. Installing all the subframe isn't fun but once it's done, it's not going anywhere.

I wouldn't mind having one as a second tractor. Something with a hydro and no backhoe would be nice. If I ever get busy enough and Build Back Better is over, I might grab one.

Just try to get it on your property by 2030; once something is in your physical possession it get's a little harder to own nothing and like it. 😂
