Actually it is not that easy. I love everthing about my 2004 250 SD diesel. Except. The turn radius leaves something to be desired. The new 2005s have gone to coil front suspension supposedly with greatly improved turning radius. Otherwise, I have no regrets at all.

Go to this site and ask around. I think you can get a new truck for less. You can also have someone run the VIN on that truck through Ford's OASIS system to see what kind of repair history it has. Don't let 8,000 miles fool you, it might have an extensive repair history. I'd run it through CarFax, also. The previous owner might have discovered the parking problem after tearing the sides off two or three times. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Congratulations on your new ride! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think the sunroof is there so you can flip your beer cans into the bed while going down the road! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I was part of a Ford truck focus group a couple of years ago and they never asked us about sunroofs in trucks. I guess some exec's daughter thought a sun roof in a truck would be cute. I can't figure out why else they would offer one. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Maybe you're like me, Brad. I've always said I'd pay more for a vehicle without a hole in the roof than I would for one with a hole in it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Having a Ford, and recently a Dodge, I was surprised by how much longer (wheelbase, and overall), the Ford is.

I know a QuadCab and a CrewCab are not the same, but they are close.

The Dodge QuadCab SB/LB wheelbase is 140/160

The Ford CrewCab SB/LB wheelbase is 156/172

So, the Ford's SB compares to the Dodge's LB.

I lived in Florida for 16 years and never once had the need for 4WD. I still wonder why many people down there buy them. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sort of like all the commuters you see going to DC on 270 driving Expeditions, Tahoes, Yukons, Excursions and all the other huge SUV's. I talked to one lady in our building and she has all ready went through 2 Explorers both with well over 100,000 miles and has never used the 4 wheel drive in either one of them.
