Good deals on ebay

Hi all,

These guys are offering some really good deals on the Jinma 284
eBay: 2007 JINMA TRACTOR 28HP 4x4 w/ FRONT LOADER new diesel (item 110061297413 end time Dec-26-06 23:17:36 PST)

I haven't seen them going for much lower than that (with the Jinma loader at least). Does anybody knows about this dealer? Are they reliable? Notice they only offer the manufacturer warranty so maybe that's the reason for their low price.

Did anyone notice the difference in headlights and grille from picture to picture? Is that what the new Jinmas look like? Which one would you get? Also the instrument panel? I thought the dash was updated with more warning lights, etc.?

Those tractors may have low enough hours to be sold "as new", but I seriously doubt they're true 2007 models. For one thing, there are no EPA approved 28hp Jinmas yet - only the 24hp E-version of the Y385. The engine in that tractor will almost certainly be stamped with a 1999 date of manufacture. And I'm pretty sure individual gauges were phased out (replaced by cluster gauge) around the 2002 model year.

The main reason there are so many appearance conflicts, is that several of the photos are old archive shots of the Jinma factory staging area - in China. Besides the obvious inconsistencies, I think the lack of info on that advert is quite telling - and would be enough to keep me from buying there.

Well, I hope I don't offend anybody here but to be honest, I don't think our friends the Chinese tractor dealers are particularly good at their website designing skills anyway Just look at pretty much any of the websites from our well known and knowledgeable dealers and you will see scrambled and dead links, very outdated pictures, old specs, and even old prices!! They are all good dealers, but IMHO their web marketing could improve. I don’t see why this couldn’t be the case for this guy too…I may be very wrong too
BTW, I have no afiliation with these folks, I just thought I would share the link with the folks shopping around for a new Jinma

I don't think they are 2007 tractors ether. The red one in most the pictures has a two piece hood and the seperate gauges like my 2001. It does have a folding ROPS and mine has the solid ROPS. New old stock maybe.

I don't think they are 2007 tractors mostly because 2007 hasn't come yet. these are not like cars, with model years. the changes are constant. Jinma and many other manufacturers offer different hoods, gages, etc.

Coming from someone who bought from Chip, I highly recommend you buy from him or a dealer like him. Keeping the good guys in business is the best thing for us as Chinese tractor owners. I looked at some other guys but I needed to know someone would be there when my machine stopped running. Believe me, the couple of hundred bucks you may save will cost you much more when you can't find parts or when Ebay won't help you with a maintenance issue. Chip helped me with a couple of mechanical problems when the help given on these boards turned out to be incorrect for my tractor, in fact as well meaning as some folks are, the info on this board contributed to damaging my tractor (incorrect torque vaues).
