Good to see you posting again. Hope work is not keeping you too busy. I agree about getting a good dealer to back you up. Chip has helped me on several occasions as well and is a good guy. I remember the problem you had with the torque values not being correct for your engine. As I recall you told me that the nuts on your engine were not the same size as the ones shown in the example and that they were larger than yours.

It's too bad what happened there before you could verify it with Chip. BTW, did you ever get the missing manuals for your tractor? If so, were the values in the manuals correct for your engine? Mine were screwed up in that they recommended more torque for the adjusting nuts than for the head bolts.

I think they had them switched up and incorrect values too.

I asked Chip about the manuals, the manuals for the 2005 KAMA TS354C have not been converted to English yet so they would do me no good. As I posted earlier my model year engine is a little different than previous years as I found out the hard way! On the bright side I learned a lot from the experience and received lots of help from good folks like you and I can adjust the old Kama's valves in my sleep!

On the work thing... I will be traveling out to the west coast tommorrow( Las Vegas - somebody has to do it!). My tractor hours have been next to nothing due to work and two little ones playing sports year round. Ok, college football has kept the Kama parked too!

Yep, I've been burnt for supporting the supplier of my tractor. I've had to create a new user ID because my old one was revoked. Sad......

can you elaborate on this? if it damaged your tractor it would be benifitial for the rest of us to know

The issue was that someone had posted some incorrect torque values, also there is an error in at least one of the Yangdong engine manual torque tables. these need to be verified before use. As I recall values for a TY395 engine (30 to35 HP Jinma engine) were offered (in good faith to the best of my knowlege) to 35HP KAMA engine with YD485 engine.

It sure would be helpful to all the rest of us Poor Soul's,, that did not buy our tractor's from you,, or that got a "Crate Tractor",,, to Post the Incorrect Information's,,, AS WELL AS the Correct Information's that you are referring to,, in order to keep "OUR",, Tractor's IN Tip Top Running Condition's....
