CM, is yours mounted on your DK's ROPs? Would love to see a pic. Trying to think how I might mount one on my cab tractor. Eric's shop-made design looks like it would give more protection to the saw, but this one is pretty slick.

Yes I mounted it by attaching it to the ROPS right side BRACKET. No cab in my case, and the saw is well protected and easy to remove. The L shaped seat that the saw body sits on along with the hinged door with knob to secure the door with a few turns works perfectly. I gave a lot of thought about how to mount the saw press and have not had to do anything to it since first installed. I'll see if I can find a pic.
Side note: since erik choose to put me on his ignore list, he's missing out on this whole discussion of the IMHO best saw press for the money that I know of - now there's irony for 'ya, block me out to one's own detriment, oh well....

Here are the pics:

I looked at the Kolpin, but the press opens the wrong way in order to mount on the window wash bracket where I mounted my saw. I first considered then discounted drilling a hole through the right rear fender to the fender's supporting bracket in order to support the Kolpin, but ruled the Kolpin out considering that if I needed to fab a bracket, I could fab a better solution that would be less fiddling to get a chain saw on and off the tractor.

Thanks for the pics, CM. Since my tractor is set up the same as Eric's, I think he's right about the way the Kolpin press opens preventing it from mounting on the rear windshield washer tank bracket. Doesn't look like it could be reversed without deconstructing it. Could probably mount it on an FEL arm, but that would leave it a bit too exposed for my liking.

No problem. It took forever to find the pics. FWIW, I mounted the Kolpin press by using U-bolts that pass through the mounting plate and through the holes in the back of the ROPS mounting bracket. I know the press won't work for every application, and especially so for cab tractors, but putting it out there may be useful to someone without a cab, or one who might find a way to make it work without too much modding. I was pleased to get it to work with no holes drilled, and no need to fab anything since I don't have any welding equip any longer.

They appear to offer both a horizontal and vertical option so one should work. They also apparently offer custom mounts.

Good find, amigauser. I did not see this one when I looked around.

ThreePoint: this one could be made to work by mounting it through the left rear fender. The rear part of the fenders are a $99ish replacement part if you ever wanted to "dehole."

Trade off is that it isn't as tucked away, but it may be easier to pull out.

Amigauser, thanks for the link. The vertical mount version is particularly interesting. Eric, the description says it can be mounted in either right or left hand orientation. May even be adaptable to work on the rear windshield wiper fluid reservoir bracket. Still like your design though, as it more completely protects the bar and chain.
