Well Newbury, you better not move to MS if you don't like the heat. It has been in the 90's every day for a while now and they are saying it should be that way until September. In fact, they are predicting 99 later this week. I am like you get up earlier in the summer, out at about sunup to get somethings done before it gets too hot.

What I'm writing about is near Tupelo, MS.
I'm just wondering if many other TBN'ers adjust their work schedules, and it seems they do.

I just finished at 10 a.m. (except for cleanup) replacing the front shocks on my F350, it was only about 87 degrees in the shop but my shirt looked like I was in a wet T-shirt contest.

Like "Newbury" I am a newly "semi retired" I get up between 3:30 to 4:00 am, feed the animals, open the barn and try and have my heavy work done by 10:00 or so. The SWMBO gets up around 7:00 goes to work at 8:00. I play in the barn until around 11:00, then retreat into the a/c of the house have lunch with the dogs, try and stay in the house until after dinner, and then go back out for a couple of hours in the evening.( unless SHMBO wants me to stay in the house with her) then by 9:30 or 10:00 it's off to bed to repeat the next day. The only problem I see with retirement, is there isn't a "day off".

Yes, I live just inside the Alabama line and go to Scrugs in Tupelo to get Starter feed and other things.

I guess it's a good thing i don't live in the deep south, I am more of an owl than an eagle. It has to be something really special to get me away from my morning newspaper and TBN before 10 A.M.

I HATE hot humid days. They really sap my strength and desires.

Right now it's 2pm and 75 degrees with 38% humidity.....just like yesterday. It doesn't get better than that unless the temp is 70.

It is the humidity that is the worst. It has been over 90 and humid the last few weeks. It is cooler today at only 85. It is supposed to be around 95 next week.
