You kind of never even notice when a favourite actor/actress is no longer making films, and then one day hear about their passing. Then it hit's home, that you WILL never see another film with them in it.

In Connery's case he probably made more for a 30 second blurb in "Robin Hood" than I will see in a lifetime. It gets to the point where their money is just a way of keeping score.
