I absolutely agree.

It's Deer season here. My Grandson found a dead deer in his front yard. Called the Game Warden to report it. Grandson brought the carcass to my farm and dumped it out in the middle of a CRP field 1/4 mile from our house. We can view it while sitting in the living room. After a couple days Bald Eagles showed up and have been visiting it daily, first thing in the morning. First morning a lone Eagle showed up. Circled the carcass three times at 50ft height. Landed about 30ft from it. For the next 2-3 minutes I watched the Eagle advance on the carcass. Move 5-6 ft closer then observe the carcass while also looking all around the area. Move 5-6 ft closer and repeat. Finally was content it was safe and had breakfast.

Would a hungry man have been that smart? The Eagle certainly has better vision than man. The Eagle was intelligent enough to minimize risk with caution. Very interesting to watch.
