HA!!! Ain't that the truth... I'm probably 3 hours tops north of you, and I've got water flowing out of the hills where I've ever seen water before. It's getting ridiculous. We are pushing nearly 80 inches of rain this year...
Funny, I love be SW VA. Spent lots of time there. Sometimes I think, maybe I should have settled in that area. Sounds like you got your share of rain. Do you also have that lovely Georgia red clay? I still say weaponize it!
I Read a book about the SE and why it is like it is. Amazing and simple common sense.
They described the clay eaters down here, I know a few. Turns out it's a condition called picca or something and found mostly in women and doesn't have to be clay. Ice is a big one but the list gets pretty squirrelly after that.
I think it's against the law to sell clay as a food product but i know folks who sell the clay on line. It goes all over the world. They call it white dirt. Nice and good for ya Too!
