"Unfortunately JD kits are sold through the dealer sales department, so you have to contact a salesman for the price."

True, but you can usually pick a tractor, and hit the get a quote button and proceed to accessories/options tab and find list prices for many of the kits. Just couldnt find the 3E kit price.

Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't as you've found out.

Thank you so much for the help....

May have to wait a while to get to try it out.

Wife had an emergency root canal this morning, and this afternoon my transmission on my truck started going.... Sounds like cracked flywheel on automatic transmission. Oh well it lasted 130K miles, and its a diesel so if I replace it it should be good for a while.

If there is a bit of $$$ crunch at this time - consider this. Whatever job(s) you are planning with the Top N Tilt - do they require the FEL / Grapple at the same time? If not take them off and run your TNT lines to the FEL control ports. Might not be pretty, but should work.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to install new top and tilt.

Ok, I now have power beyond for 4120.

I also have this joystick valve https://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UID=2009091820230307&item=9-7725-35&catname=hydraulic

Valve is marked Type 2S-4835
Prod Date 05-21
Serial 312972

1st problem the Nimco joystick cable balls, see attached photo, will not slide into the metal block at the bottom of joystick, it seems like the ball is too large.

Cables are marked 4K 5049 5060

Should the cables be forced?
Do cables have protective plastic cap over steel ball that needs to be removed?

Any words of wisdom?

I have no experience with that valve or the cables-have never read about them either...You may be in uncharted territory.

Bummer....

I was hoping you would have an easy fix. Am honestly wondering if I have the wrong cables.

How about the power beyond?

It has two hoses that are supposed to be connected if you are not using hydraulics.

It says if you are using hydraulics then you are supposed to run a hose directly into transmission housing.

Valve is open center.

It has two large ports on one side one labeled T2, one labled P2, assuming I need to hook both power beyind hoses to this? One to each?

Do I use the transmission housing connection for return?

It has 4 smaller ports on the other labeled A1, A2, B1, B2, assuming for top and tilt clyinder connection?

Any ideas on how to plumb?

If your FEL valve has a PB port, you will need a PB sleeve installed. Connect a hose to this sleeve, and run to back. This hose is the pressure hose to the rear valve. It connects to the P2 port, and another hose goes to the T2 port which is the tank port, and the other end of that hose goes to reservoir. The small ports are the work ports. If you are using the joystick and only one cylinder, you need to plug the two unused work ports. That joystick is also a parallel valve, meaning you can operate two valves at the same time. If you do not want to activate the plugged valve, do not hook the cables to the one side.

There is no relief valve on this valve, so I would connect a hose from upper work port to lower work port, in case you move the joystick the wrong way, and that is ,if you install both cables.

You do need a relief valve somewhere in this circuit. If you dead head this circuit, it could burst the pump, or whatever is weakest.

I would call the SC and confirm.

That is correct. There is one supply line, and two returns. One return goes directly to the tank and is used with a backhoe because it bypasses the 3PH that you don't want operative with a backhoe installed. The other return is the one that feeds the 3PH and is also where the "loop" hose plugs into. It is VERY important to have the hoses connected together while the tractor is running because oil always flow through this line.

The supply line from your PB kit goes to the P2 port, and the return that feeds the 3PH will go to the T2 port. You will NOT be using the tranny return because it bypasses the 3PH.

Correct, those port go to the cylinders

Any ideas on how to plumb?

do you want QD's? or are you going to plumb the cylinders directly to the valve? There are lot's of options either way.

Thank you so much Kenny, you are always so helpfull.

Valve seems really really nice, very heavy. Figured it would give more mounting options.

SC technical help is closed untill Monday.

Any idea which hose from power beyond goes to which input port?

PB has two hoses, one supply one return.

Valve has numerous ports, but most have steel plugs in them. There are two large ones two ports with plastic plugs, that appear to be the correct ones.

One of the ones with the plastic plugs is labeled P2 one is labeled T2. Any idea which one goes to which hose? or does it matter?

Attached is a photo of the cable to joystick connection.

The steel ball fits, the white plastic one doesnt....
