Good place to buy tires? First time tractor owner!

As you have a FEL you probably want R4 industrial tires, which are wider and support the weight of a full FEL better than R1 or Turfs. R4s are also more puncture resistant and flame resistant if you work close to a burn pile regularly.

It is unusual to see turfs on a tractor-loader.

If you add your LOCATION to your PROFILE we would have some idea of your soil, and could make better tailored recommendations to the threads you originate in the future.

If he goes w/ other than turfs he will also need wheels/rims. And why is it "unusual" to see turfs on a 30HP tractor?

Hey guys, I swore I filled out location when I registered... No idea why it was replaced by a "2" in the username box.

Regardless, I'll take some more pics of the tractor this weekend so you guys can get a better idea of what they currently look like. When I first purchased it a few months ago, it had been sitting out in a field for over a year or so, and the front right (I think) tire was deflated.

A bit off topic, but I had to tear the thing apart, and you can follow my picture heavy journey here if you guys are curious. I don't mean to crosspost, and a MOD can delete it if neccesary. I'm always on car forums and love user pics, and I don't see many threads with them, so they might be fun to look at!

I agree.

To the op, I miss the turf tires I first had on my jd 2305. If you're going to change tire types make an educated decision and read the tons of previous treads on the subject. See what side of the fence you want to be on.

Hey all, I'm a member over at OrangeTractorTalk, but I'm reaching out here for some more exposure!

I've got a Kubota L2900 and am looking for new tires all around. Also, are there different types of tires or a preferred tire tread that most people seem to use?

I'm in South West Connecticut if it helps! Gently used is fine, too!
Try "Pete's Tire Barn" they have several places in Connecticut and all over New England. They handle a lot of tractor tires and many other off road and on road tires. Getting them local should be cheaper on shipping, plus they do installations.
