I was told by my salesman that I could pay it off at any time and keep the insurance.

Sure you can. You can call today and get Kubota insurance on any tractor you own, whether it's financed or not.

For my BX24, once I paid off the loan with Kubota, the KTAC insurance price doubled. They give a better price when you are still financing.

If it ain't in writing, it ain't real. Salesmen can say whatever they want, and often do, but they aren't the ones backing it up. I wouldn't assume anything if it isn't on paper. As one of the first replies said, after the initial hours, hardly anything goes wrong on Kubota's, and if you don't do something stupid, they seem to keep on going forever. The KTAC even covers stupid, according to the posts I see here.

I'm not up to date on BX25 pricing, so I can't help you there. Kubota tractors are very, very reliable. Mostly likely, if there are any issues, you'll find them in the first 100 hours or so. I wouldn't buy an extended warranty on one. At a cost of $1,300, you have to incur repairs of more than $1,300 (plus whatever the deductible is) after the standard warranty expires in order to come out ahead. Personally, I think you'd be better off taking that $1,300 and either buying implements with it or putting it in a rainy day fund for future repairs. The chances of you spending more than $1,300 on repairs after your warranty expires are pretty slim, in my opinion.

I have had mine since the BX25 came out some 7 years ago, and I haven't spent a dime.
