Good quality USA made grease gun?

Just went today to get a replacement for my Alimite pistol grip grease gun. My dad has gave mine away. The new ones are made in India so I guess there arn't anymore USA made grease guns. It was 48 bucks. I didn't buy it.

Best way to pickup a good USA grease gun is go to a farm estate auction. You can pick up nice ones for $1. Ken Sweet

I bought a pistol grip gun at the local John Deere p;lace not so long ago. Made in Mexico I think I recall. It is the best gun I have owned, love a pistol grip.

What kind of Grease are you guys using.. what came with the gun (if it did) or It seems there are as many choices for grease as oil :confused2:

I've reviewed quite a few too many actually posts about grease guns tonight. My question is which gun will give the highest pressure and be more likely to "open up" a clogged zerk. Would battery operated put out more pressure and have a better shot at opening one up or not? Also if I decide to go the manual route which brand would have the highest pressure. Looks like lincoln will be a great and possibly the best choice.

I am very impressed with how this gun works. It primes very easy which has been my problem with air guns. It has great pressure and works very well at filling tough fittings. It was recommended by two vender that sell this gun as well as Lincoln and Alemite痴

If you search the internet you will see the can get a free extra battery. It comes with a 5 year warrantee which is hard to beat. It makes at times a not fun job fun. Thanks John

You won't want to try forcing grease in with a gun because you'll end up damaging the gun, (experience). What you need is something like this: Zerk-Mate Grease Fitting / Joint Cleaner - Alemite

It would be the first item listed. There's a description of the item there too.

As far as a gun, Lincoln is top of the line when it comes to grease guns. I prefer manual ones as I don't have a whole lot to grease. If you have a huge, or multiple machines, with lots of zerks, then a battery or air operated one might make you life easier.

WH401 - you got me thinking. The head of the gun blew off the barrel when I put extra pressure on the handle - guess at 65 years old I can still manage to break stuff. I've been away from tractors and their maintenance for several decades and recall having heavier duty grease guns. I sure dislike not seeing made in the USA much anymore.

I have the Milwaukee M18 grease gun, I really like it. Much better than a standard pump grease gun.
