Looks like I need that speed.....looked at my odometer today....I've got 289 miles and 88.9 hours....all that speed is being put to use. 99% of the use it gets is either driving a fence line in crazy terrain or plowing snow, when I go on the trails I do take advantage of the 44mph speed but it seems like it doesn't happen much these days.:ashamed:

i would imagine most of don't "need" that speed, but it sure comes in handy at times, and it does
equate to a bunch of additional power to get thru mud or deep snow.
somehow i'm going to justify having one, for all of my 2 acres, to replace the HPX 4x4
i have now.
(we border a 400 acre hunting property where do most of our riding)

I would agree. While I generally don't need the speed, it can be nice when running down the gravel road to another field. Off the road, I probably never bust 25 mph with my 825i. I got it for the wide range of capabilities, speed is just the icing on the cake from time to time. Often wonder how nice it would have been to have one of these back a century ago for ranch work.

Any reviews or owner updates on the 825i gator?

Have a line on one and had not been looking for Deere... mostly Kubota and Kawasaki Mules.

My BIL has one;I'm not real impressed with it.The use a three cylinder China(Chery) built motor and sound like a out board.Small fuel tank and real wide.

Thank you for posting... it is a different direction from what we had been looking at.

I bought mine new in 2012...I'm very pleased with it. I've used it to move insane amounts of snow, drive fence lines and occasionally as a trail toy....it's handled everything I've thrown at it great. I have had some things break but luckily everything that needed repair was covered by the warranty

1 CV axle (had my wheel turned fully in reverse gave it the juice and broke axle)
1 Front driveshaft....Deere had a TSB on that for a bad supply of shafts
1 Clutch .....know issue on earlier 825's they have a find replace policy on them even out of warranty according to the service writer at the local dealer
1 Starter the bendix was sticking making a weird whine sounded like a belt squeal but wasn't it was replaced and the new one has been great

That has been it for issues, not bad considering how my Gator is used....it's not cruising down the driveway to get the mail it's pushing a lot of snow with my Boss V plow....pulling full length trees out for cutting....hauling a lot of weight in the bed from cedar fence posts...rolls of fencing...fencing tools....over 1k in the bed is common.

The machine has a lot of power, is decent on fuel and runs excellent under all conditions. If I could change anything about my 825i I would like to see it 58" wide....62" is just too wide on some trails.

Thanks for the update...

Did a test drive on one Sunday... super clean with extras... just seemed it's not really suited to go slow if I were to have a spray rig.

No problems going fast and scooting along and it handled real good.

They creep along well but if you're creeping you want to use low range

Maybe I was doing something wrong... it was a 2013 with 15 hours.

The engine was really revved up like 3500 rpm to get it rolling.
