A bittersweet Bad Dog day today.

Bitter: TC55 and all implements of destruction were sold today.

Sweet: Got a decent price for the whole kit&kaboodle. It's paid for itself several times over in the past two years. 20 acre property was purchased at same time as tractor for $725K. Sale is pending at just over $1M, largely due to the work done by the TC55 during pretty much every weekend and evening, as I have a real job during weekdays.

My wife's job has us relocating from very rural CT to very suburban Philly, from a self-made equestrian property, to a new home on a well manicured 1.3 acre lot. Plan to have a nice pool put in the back and watch my girth increase. Horses are being boarded and trained (they're old enough now). I'm looking forward to breaking in a new batch of neighbors.

I learned a lot from TBN and hoped I helped when I wasn't being too feisty (I've recieved lots of nastygrams from the moderators). I'll miss my tractor, but I won't miss the work. At least not for a while.

Something tells me I'll be back... everything is better the 2nd time around.

All is not lost. I moved from 20 acres to 1 acre and moved up from a 1320 to a TC30 in the process. A little overkill, but I still have my manhood. Good luck on your move and check out the local tractor dealers in Philly as soon as you get there. They sell small ones, but there still diesel and useful.

Bummer, no TC55 to play with. That's heart breaking Bad Dog. I for one always enjoyed your posts, and found them very informative. Can't imagine why the few comments from the moderators......guess I didn't read everyone of them, on all forum topics. Did you ever take any pictures of the TC55?

I don't think I could part with my tractor and land, but you sure got a great price . In my neck of the woods you can get at least 500 or more acre's for 1m

Glenmoore township, actually... about 35 mins out of Philly... it's nice horse country if you're into the hunt scene (we are).

I guess I should have said 'vicinity'... not suburb...

Still, it's a far cry from rural CT. Nicer in some respects (more civilization), not in others (more civilization).

Change is always good, and we always have trouble saying no to more money.

Now I just need to unload two lawn tractors and a Boss V-plow... sure don't need them with only 1.3 acres.

Good luck on the move...1.3 acres...holy cow is that going to be a tight fit! Gives me claustrophobia thinking about it! Maybe you can buy out some of the neighbors to get some elbow room?
