Mark have you ran out of hydraulic power with you BrushBrute yet? That is the biggest limiting factor I've found so far with mine.

Woodbeef - I've hit some 4"-5" holly trees that I couldn't pull out of the ground while standing still, but I've always been able to pull them up by pushing forward at the same time - once they start to push over, I've been able to go ahead and pull them up out of the ground.

Chris - Thanks for your post! I'll bet there's a bunch of us here who wish we'd had the opportunity you're using to the full. Most of us have learned most of what we know the hard way, and at our own expense, but you're taking good advantage of the opportunity to learn from others' mistakes and successes. It'll benefit you greatly later, that's for sure.

I noticed from your profile that you're looking forward to getting back to farming. So what kinds of professional/industrial equipment are you planning to be using in the future? Or are you just interested in them because you like equipment?

It would seem from your post that you should be able to convince your wife that you need an EF-4. I'm not sure the "mowing the lawn" argument is your best bet, though. Surely there's something else on that 3 acres that you need to do... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Doesn't she want to plant some trees or something?

DaveV - I intend to stick by my decision to not post any new material to this thread. (But I didn't say I wouldn't jump at the chance to reply to any and all posts by others... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif)

Actually, I think MossRoad's thread should win, anyway, because: 1) there are a lot more PT users here than EF users; 2) the PT is a lot better suited to the average TBN audience (whatever that is) than the EF machines are; and 3) MossRoad said his favorite thread was this one (even if he's lying, he still deserves to win on grounds of exceeding graciousness)... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
