I haven’t been goose hunting for a long time. Yesterday my son in law invited me to go with him. He is a hunting guide. We had a great hunt. We got all our limits of specs by 7:30 am and the weather was perfect.

Very nice. I've never done a goose hunt, just shot the odd goose that came over while I was in the marsh duck hunting. My neighbor is a private pilot for some very wealthy people, and he flies them up to Canada for the weekend to hunt geese. He gets to hunt too, and he says that it's non stop shooting!!!!

Three decades ago I shot one goose on our large lake. He was SO VERY fat - the wife had to drain the cooking pan three times. He WAS very tasty. The geese around here feed in the grain fields and get as round as a hippo.
