Bummer. Can you put bikes in front of it then or will there still be enough room behind? Long-term plan to move the axles forward?

When I haul bikes I usually take 3

I moved the camper back about 44" and re-weighed it tonight.

I did shift some weight but still heavy as the 2500 is rated at 6000#. My dually 3500 is rated at 7000#. I am going to have to make a decision to include I have been looking at a new 3500 Ram and might just go 4500 with a 9ft flat bed. If I decide to get a new truck i want to wait till late Aug/Sep when the biig rebates start hitting because of the new model year coming out.

Well I went and solved my issue today

2018 Ram 3500 Aisin 3.73

I got basically all the features I wanted and I felt a good trade in $$ on my 2001 3500 from Tristate Ram in Maryville, MO. I road tripped it there (3hrs).

Nice truck! That should pull your trailer with and handle the weight with no issues.

Now that's a good looking truck

I just hope the original point of the 'used truck camper on a gooseneck trailer' instead of a toy hauler wasn't to save money!

Now if this was a Machiavellian plan to gain leverage with the wife to get a new truck... That would be genius.
