Chuck, personally, I'm with you however "they" sent in a clean up crew and unfortunately, it wasn't this crew that left a bunch of needless mess. (Like PILES of coke cans) I found it amazing that they would just toss everything on the ground and let the pick up crew clean it up, rather than simply throwing it into their truck, or have a trash bag and make life easier for everyone involved. Since they have a clean up crew, I personally doubt it if the actual transgressor will be the one cleaning it out, thereby giving me my moral victory. I think they will send someone else in so that HE can feel his moral victory in that "he" didn't have to do it.

I don't know, I just think I happen to be dealing with "that" type of mentality.

I'm afraid that is the mentality you have to deal with. I should say we.

The loggers that bought my trees just threw cans and trash all over the decking area. Thankfully that did not throw much trash around the property. I have found a coke can here and there but mainly it was in the decking area. I and my forester got on them about this for all the good it did. This weekend I started burning slash out of the piles left near the decking machine. I have found oil cans, filters and what really ticked me off, a BURRIED garbage bag full of cans and trash. The lazy %^&*( picked up the trash but then threw it in a pile of wood.... GRRRRRRR.

I think its just the nature of the beast I'm afraid. I have the same problems with my neighbors contractors. There are a good number of people who don't give a rats behind about anyone elses property.

One of the reasons I'm putting up a stout gate and fence.

I have been picking up trash here and there on my property for the last couple of weeks. This is stuff left over from the logging but most is from when the property was wide open. I was lucky in that not alot of trash was brought in. It could be a lot worse. One thing I noticed is that there are quite a few cans of light beer. All of the same brand. Some with the new pop tops and some with the old pull tabs. That really says the guy throwing the cans was from the front subdivision and who has been on the property over the years. I think I know who it is and they actually kept the road open for awhile. He was keeping the property neat but at the same time throwing trash.

Go Figure....

It's a shame these days that alot of people have no morals. What your going through right now makes all loggers look bad and thats a shame. It's that bad apple thing, all it takes is one to ruin them all.

I would give both parties a call just so there can be no he said she said at a later date. You are more than within reason to want the tire gone, it never should have been left there to begin with.

Like I said before something in my heart tells me that after you make the call that tire will dissappear before the end of the week. The only shame of it is that they will more than likely dump it on someone elses property. Sad but true.

Good luck
