i thought just about every state had those....even have one here near me... which surprised me. They do have some neat stuff.

I got my air line dryer from them for the shop. man that thing is worth every cent i paid for it. works fantastic.

Congratulations.! I grew up in retail. Always be polite no matter how much of an idiot or ***** the customer may be. Always "look" busy even if you are not. It is very disappointing to see an employee lazing about - especially when one is in a hurry. Listen to your customers - amazing how much you will learn. Take initiative...

Who knows some day you may own the company - it has happened.

Wonderful! I always enjoy. my visits there. They have so much stuff sometimes I need to ask where something is...I always appreciate good directions and a smile from the employee.

Great to hear about this next step into the world for you. It's a good move, shows initiative and ability and will look good on resume. Enjoy having some spending money...save a little for bigger ticket items which come along....like a tractor some day...kidding..for now. You will see many different people, observe and think about what you see/hear...an education in itself.

I know you are looking forward to graduation...time moves slowly, but it moves and you will make it. Best wishes in all you do...and keep that level head on your shoulders!

My first job was retail (and since then I have worked on and off for about 12 years in it). The best advice I can give you is that once you step through the door be professional. Help customers, dont be rude no matter how rude the customer is. The best thing to remember is that "the customer is a customer". They are not always right, but they are the ones who provide your pay. If no one is in the store reshelve/restock, and stay busy. Clock watching is horrible.
Just wait until dec and you have heard "Holiday" music for countless hours Its enough to make you go crazy.
