I agree on the usefulness of the forks. They are on the M7040's QA as default.
The bucket is put on to move firewood to the house and that is about it. Hardly any paint is worn off.
I cheat though. The HD backhoe bucket with HST is used for loader work.
For moving firewood, I prefer the forks. Most of my firewood is in half cord pallet racks that the forks move: Into the woodshed for seasoning, and from the woodshed to the garage when needed.
Yeah, I cheat too. Light bucket work is done with the B21 backhoe. Serious bucket work is done with the skid steer.
