Tiller Got a used tiller today

I have to adjust the lift links shorter on my 3pnt arms to get mine to lift enough. If your tractor has this capability, this would be an easier solution than moving the lift pins. I thought about doing that also, as much to push the tiller away from the tractor as for the ability to lift it. Even with the shorter shaft, it's difficult to hook up the PTO.

Mine only agjust on one side. The best setup seems to be the quick hitch setup with a new drive shaft. the new shaft could be highly adjustable. The 2 square tube type. Moving the mounts for the quich hitch would be really easy to do. Then all the linkage would be correct.

Made it a quick hitch today and lengthened the drive shaft. Works really well, only problem is the splines on the driveshaft are not quite long enough for all terrain. If the tractor is on a up and the tillar is going deep the shaft will almost come out. I am gonna have to keep an eye on it. It has some adjustment at full up but at full down it is almost to short. On the flat it is fine..

anyways, I got it working and the tillar seems to work just fine. The tines rotate forward.
