Make a bunch of good photos of the damage with dates on them including the interior damage that is beginning. Send them to State Farm by certified mail and say, This is dragging out too long and remind them they don't want an additional claim for interior mold remediation.

Mold is excluded under most policies now.

I would remind them of their duty to adjust claims in good faith. Bad faith is way scarier to an insurance adjuster than mold.

We had our house and a rental with hail damage it ruined our roof. We have State Farm for our house they came out and wrote a check and paid us the rest when we finally got it done. But we tore off everything redecked and went metal. I was going to ask for the discount for a metal roof but the forms say your contractor so I dropped that idea.

On the rent house we had Farm Bureau but we had replacement cost on it, same deal, paid all but the deductible. I've not had a problem. But then this has been 5 years ago, now might be a different storey.

Their mold exclusion may not be effective if the mold is a consequential damage of their foot-dragging (bad faith) in settling the original claim promptly.
