Got Feedback on Caravaggi Stump Grinder on 2 Wheel Tracto?

I haven't used mine nearly as much as you, but I don't recall having any trouble locating the front of the grinder to make sure I wasn't going too far past the end of the stump (and grinding dirt and rocks). Certainly looks like it aids with "precision grinding". Is that what it's for? Or is there another purpose for the mirror?

The mirror is simply to enable you to see what you are doing without stopping the machine to poke your head around front. It shows the grinder wheel and the stump.

Just finished, mostly anyway. A helper and I ground 313 buckthorn and boxelder stumps ranging from 4-30" (on a distribution curve skewed to the small side but including a decent number of larger ones) using the Caravaggi stump grinder on a BCS 749 in 30 hours and an average of under 6 min/stump. I explain my approach to smaller stumps in my previous comment above. In hindsight, to me, the approach worked out.

Hey man. I own an 853. What is your overall impression of the caravaggi. I know this is a relatively small grinder but is it productive enough to make money with?

I think you could use it to make money. I would suggest you check out some demo videos and see what you think. A picture is worth a thousand words. I know Joel at Earth Tools posted a couple and perhaps, you can find some more on YouTube. Let me know if you decide to try it and how it goes for you. Good Luck!
