OK, this may be the biggest ripoff from PT yet.

2 elbow fittings 1/4" npt male to 1/4 pipe male $5.80

36" hose 1/4" npt Female to 1/2" (I think) male pipe $ 18.85

No instructions other than what Terry said... Which was remove the plug on top of the accumlator, put in the elbow. Drill a hole in your tank and tap this bad boy in.

Now, why in the heck we are not just putting in a T connector on one of the small return lines is a mystery to me, and the way I am going to g about this.... I am not going to drill in to my tank for sure....

Drill a hole in your hyd tank? Does it say in the instructions how to stop the metal shards from entering the tank?

Could add a right angle hose fitting to the cover - drill the cover remotely, install it and then run a hose to it?

Nope, then you would have a hose holding your lid up...

Carl.

If your tank has a bolt on hydraulic filler plate, you could remove the plate and using a magnet , drill into the tank for the return hose. You could also tee into a return line, and accomplish what you want to do.

So just an update.

I went and bought a T Fitting and had them remake the hose with both JIC female ends.. I planned to tap into the return line of one of the hoses at the tank.

Well... Darnit. The friggin hose was cut about 4 inches shorter than the original... And it is a 20 mile drive to get the hose replaced....... So I opted to hook it up at my draft control overflow.... This is located alongside the fuel tank on the 1850... Got it all plumbed and I guess it is working. We will see... I put the bucket up high and stopped the tractor...
