first of all thanks to every one for their response. I was dealing with an individual, he is retired and buys and sells tractors among other things, in e texas we call them "traders" he was quite a character and really charmed my wife and daughter. myself on the otherhand was fixen to be out 12,500 hard earned dollars and thankfully my bullsh-- detector was registering off the scale. When I got ahold of him on the phone and told him about what my research had turned up he told me that he had no idea that the tractor was that old. imagine that! from my conversation with him it was obvious that he was fibbing. he was actually mad that the local kubota dealer had given me the original owners name and #, he said they are not supposed to give out that info. I sure am glad they did in my case. well I'm still searching, looked at new ones today, but I just don't think I can afford it. see yall later
