I have needed a hrrow for a while. I shopped all over. Locally, all that was available was the King Kutter. They come in 4' or 8' and 4' long. I wanted 6'x7' to start out. I could have settled for two KK 8' units, and put one behind the other. But that would have been over $800. Not to mention, there was only one of them around.

I shooped al the internet sites. It was still goin to be almost $800 to get one, and with two week lead times.

Then I thought to call Ken Sweet. I always like his posts, and I knew he carried the harrows (but I didb't see what I wanted on his site.)

Ken is a great guy, he had just what I wanted, and within a few minutes we had a deal on one 6x7 harrow, a boom pole and delivery within three days for about half what I was looking at elsewhere.

And the harrow? It is all we hoped for. Mrs. RR just loves pulling it all over. Our pastures really needed it. We were really surprised how well it is at cleaning up our riding trails. It is a huge help making fire breaks.

I will probably end up getting more sections to build a 12' x 11' for the pastures. But I am pretty well set for now !

I really wasn't out and nickle and dme this thing. But, money doesn't grow on trees either. I always seem to want what I want the way I want it, and hate paying extra to settle for what I don't want. Next time I'll call Ken first. I hope he has what I want!

Let's see some picts!

I recently purchased the 8'x4' (length) harrow for $295. The 4' length just isn't enough for pasture work. Instead of spending another $300, I cut a cattle panel in two and hooked these to the back of the harrow and added some weight. Not perfect but will get me through this year.

Hi Cliff!

I currently have a farm near Cameron. Also have a CRP farm up north of Bethany near Eagleville. Also, have had places in McFall, New Hampton, Gillman City, and Bethany. Still live in KC area, though, until kids graduate from HS. Just three years now until I can move to the country for good! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll try and get some picts later this week. It's been raining for 5 days straight here and can't do much outside. Been unseasonably cold too!
