Got my new BX2200

Just goy my BX2200 w/FEL. The next morning after I cut my lawn, I noticed a pool of oil on the floor under the HST by the left rear tire. Looks like it is leaking from a hydraulic fitting. The place I purchased the tractor from picked it up, said they fixed it, and brought it back the same day. Good service, I thought! Well its still leaking, looks like they are going to have to pick it up again. I hope I have better luck in the future with my tractor.

I do have a couple of question on my new tractor though:

1) When the mower (60") is lowered it seems to cut lever, but when raised completely the mower looks quite un-level. Is this common?

2) When cutting my lawn, which was quite long, the mower left an uncut portion of grass near the center of the mower deck. Anyone else experience this?

FYI
Rear left side is where the fuel tank commonly leaks.

The mower deck should not skip. Do they have the correct blades on it??? Is the deck square to thwe tractor? If it is on crooked, perhaps its angle of attack is incorrect. To heck wih the dealer for deck setup. Go though the manual. You can handle it. Get it spot on and it will cut superbly.

Left side hanging down a little? Mine is off the left stop 1/4" when raised but once lowered it cuts great.
That deck should not leave an uncut strip.
I agree with rogue; better to go through the headache of setting it up yourself. Then you know its right. It takes a little time but its worth it.
Hope you get the leak cured. Surprised that the dealer didn't catch it when he prepped the unit.

Behind the left rear tire on the BX2200 is the hydraulic block that the GEL plumbs into. There are three lines, you should be able to see them quite easily. My guess is that they didn't tighten them enough when the dealer installed the FEL or they forgot to put in the o-rings that are under the block. Make them come out and fix it properly and check the deck. Maybe the wrong length blades installed on the deck? (seems like someone else had that happen from the factory). No way it should be leaving a strip of uncut grass, even if the deck wasn't set up properly. Make them fix these issures, and I'll bet you lunch that you're gonna love that machine. Yes, I believe it is one of the lines coming from that block. They claimed it was a bad o-ring. I too am surprised they did not find it before leaving the shop. I am more surprised they didn't get it fixed when they brought it back to the shop.
