Here are the sides. If you look close that is a #2 pencil sitting on top for reference. This is a monster! I looked at a Bush Hog MX?-720 today at my dealer and the First Choice is built just as stout and actually has a little better bracing on the 3PH.

I looked over a Landpride Rear discharge today at my dealer and the First choice is basically the same design with several improvements! One is that you can grease the spindles without removing the belt covers and the belt covers do not go all of the way to the deck. There is a 1/4 inch gap that allows the grass and stuff to get out and not get trapped in there.

Another improvement is the belt tensioning bolt that allows you to EASILY adjust the belts to the proper tension. Make it a real breeze! You can see it at the front of the gearbox base.

Here is one of the floating lower links. You can lock them in place like I have here or remove one of the pins and they will float up and down so it folows the ground. I am very, very pleased with the two first choice pieces. They have been well engineered and thought out. Making maintenance easy and low. I know I will get many years of use out of these implements. I look forward to getting a broadcast spreader next. Now I have to fertilize the grass so I can get more seat time with the mower!!!!!!

<font color=blue>"The end plates on mine are shorter in the front than in the rear which should make it able to dig in better. The box blades I have used in the past have not been designed this way and the sides always fought againt the cutting action.

"Are yours designed the same as mine?"</font color=blue>

Yes, my 20 series is designed the same. I checked it out today. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
