I am afraid you are mistaken Highbeam, on all your numerical counts.
Hitch is rated for 10,000, which is quite a bit more than 3x the trailer's empty weight.
Truck towing capacity numbers are wrong too. You should check your facts before blowing off like that.
If you would like to check my creditials you may do so on my profile, but regardless of my technical qualifications, I would be mighty dumb to spend that kind of money without understanding exactly what I am doing.
Please consider what confusion you cause on the forum when you shoot from the hip and say that a 10k forged aluminum hitch is only good for towing a garden trailer, etc., not to mention what it does for your credibility.
