Thank you for the contact info. Please let me set the record straight for anyone follwing this thread series. Messicks has been nothing but helpful, and I am glad I at least have a reputable dealer on my side. They have followed fairly standard procedure as far as handling the issue from the beginning. I nor would anyone really expect them to test run every attachment that goes out as new. Especially coming from a reputable company like Woods. So that being said, when the problem was discovered, it was quickly picked up. My salesman went out of his way to solve a few part related order issues as well. The service dept. has been kind and responsive and there was good communication. The delay was mainly due to woods being out of stock on the auger. Im stating all of this because I dont want this turned into dealer bashing or company bashing. Ive owned quite a few good Woods products. My posting was out of pure frustration with the entire situation.
Where I find fault is that this machine was allowed to leave in the same condition it came in. I do not personally believe it was test run, or at least viewed by someone who could make a call and say it was night and day difference. I have two videos on my Iphone showing identical issues on both augers.
I have been contacted and told the woods regional rep is now involved and thier snowblower engineer (rather than a standard tech engineer) would be out next week to look at the unit. If they are able to correctly fix the problem in a timely fashion I will consider this a bad apple and call it a day. If they tell me its normal, then I will be asking for a refund on the unit as its workmanship to me is unacceptable. Im being as flexable as I am about this due in part to the abnormal weather weve had. I will say if we were getting hammered with snow and I didnt have a blower I ordered in july, I would be furious. So were all kind of lucky here.
I will post the outcome next week, good luck to those getting some snow, thanks to Messicks for chiming in and hope everyone has a great weekend!
