Got Permission to get a TC40DA

George, you made a wise choice. The TC40DA is an excellent tractor. I put a grill guard on my T2310 (same model different number). The grill guard is fairly expensive ($300 installed) for what it is, but it can prevent a lot of damage to the front of the tractor if things go wrong.

I want to have steel mesh welded to the entire center section of my guard to eliminate branches poking through. I'm looking for the appropriate mesh for this application.

I bought a 72" gear tiller which is going to be handy and can also make some money in the Spring. I would have bought a bush hog but they take up too much storage room that I don't have!

George - I have a TC35A and I believe that adding the extra 5 HP is a good idea. I have gotten a lot of use out of my TC35A, but there have been times when a little more lifting power would have been helpful.

I would add the grill guard. I bought one when I bought the tractor, but it took 4 weeks to get it. My brother welded some wire mesh behind it and then we painted it black to match. It has saved my radiator at least 3x while clearing some land. I would also suggest using the ROPS in the "up" position every time when using the FEL.

Congrat is in order, but Geoge bought the tractor back in March 2007!!! As I don't see any posts from him since then, he must be having fun.
