Thanks, now I have a better idea. Sounds like just so many movies are copied at a time, and when they are gone, no more are made (until another time). Probably called marketing, and similar to other collections that have a fixed number of 'copies' or 'prints'. Collectors like it, I'm sure.

To me, stealing is 'stealing', no matter from who - big or little. Sorry it happens at all.

I've had my door kicked in too. Wish he had tried the knob, as it wasn't locked and would have saved me a lot of repair work.

We have a used VHS Store that has quite a few Disney Movies, Give out a list and I'll see what bis available and how much. Then I'll have you contact him. He is a friend of mine and very honest and reasonable, ( we are in So. Ind.) I don't think he would buy anything that he suspected as being Stolen. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

That would be awsome Thank you. I don't know of any stores like that around here. I am sure they exist, but I don't know them. Anyway This is what they stole:
Mickey Mouse Twice Upon a Christmas
Sleeping Beauty
Winnie the pooh ABC's
Winnie the pooh 123's
Home on the Range
Homeward Bound The Incredible Journey
Pocahontas
Snow white
Monsters Inc.
101 Dalmations Patches in London
The Tigger Movie
Piglet's Big Movie
Charlie the Lonesome Cougar
Lilo and Stitch
The Aristocats
Lion King 1.5
Brother Bear
Finding Nemo
I'm sure most of these are out of the vault, but I now have no idea which ones are and which ones aren't.
The other movies weren't Disney so they should be no problem. I'm going to try and find a store like that around here too. Thanks

Beenthere,
I agree stealing is stealing. I just think that a persons morals are some what less than the lowest criminals when they steal or hurt the helpless. Young or old.
My door was locked but I wish they had just broken a window. Would be a lot easier to fix the glass. Oh well, we don't get to decide.

Sorry to hear about this. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Sorry, but I have to ask. You said your kids are 1 and 2. With all these movies, are they for the kids or yourself? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Where's Shrek? Great movie!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK, more seriously now... I'd agree with Grumpa and look on e-bay. We've gotten most of our movies from sellers there. Many people don't follow the "vault" and are just selling movies their kids have outgrown. Haven't paid more than $5 each and I think my kids have almost, if not all of them.

bczoom,
No, the movies are definitly for the kids, but I admit to watching them some also. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I will try out E-bay probably in the next day or two. I'm still trying to get serial numbers together and fingerprint dust cleaned up. Man! that dust is hard to clean up and it's everywhere. Cool stuff though.
I liked Shrek Too but the missus did'nt so it's not in the collection. Must be a guy thing. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Take care.

I've been able to find out of print books through amazon.com. You might try them.

There's a couple of used book stores in my area that also have videos. I'll check them against your list and let you know what have.

Marine1,
I took your list and searched Ebay, almost all of them are for sale there. Be careful though and read the description real well. Some were released in another country or region and may contain sub-titles.

Thanks to you all for the great ideas. I new this was the place for info. It's funny to me that when I went to the disney forum all the people there could do was complain but no one had any solutions. I'm not a member of that forum but with this forum why should I be.
Oh! Inspector 507, thanks for the description tip. I have only used E-bay one time and that was a while ago so I'm not real familiar with the nuances of the whole gig.
I am more confident that I will be able to get them all, or at least most of them back. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Haven't dealt with fingerprint dust in more years than I care to remember, but I use a product called Greased Lightning to get brake dust off my alloy wheels. If it will cut brake dust, I am sure that it will cut fingerprint dust. It comes in a quart spray bottle for about $3.00 and a gallon refill jug for $7.00. You can get it at Home Depot and probably other stores. Great for getting soap scum off the shower walls also. It is a very mild acid with a soap base. A little rough on the nostrils if you breath in the spray, but not going to kill you. Wear rubber gloves, because it has a tendency to remove the oils from you hands...
Hope that they catch the crooks and you recover your possessions.... Junk...
