I sometimes use a log weight calculator when picking up lengths of wood.. it asks for lengths, species of log and diameter at both ends...it's amazing how quickly you can get to max capacity

That was a good size load on that trailer! The Yanmar did a great job too :thumbsup:

As a forester I was not "surprised" at how heavy it was. I knew. Log calculators are a cool tool now a days with the web. Use to have to refer to tables, not hard if you have them.

I kind of think about how many cords I have and I can kind of visualize it. With green oak weiging at an average around 5,000 pounds a cord averaged between white and red ( I had both on trailer), an guessing around 1.5 -1.75 cords on there, that is a LOT of weight.
