theres actually a series of pics associated with that one over a weekend or something.... the guy that took the pics noticed it but didnt have anyone to tell...

if i remember right it took like 2 or 3 days to sink that far (while it was raining)

I got my little Farmtrac stuck last weekend and I was feeling pretty dumb for doing it. Then I found this pic! I don't feel so bad now!!!

I've had that picture for a couple of years. It was sent to me by a friend who owns a large insurance company. He told me that that pic was taken by one of his insurance loss prevention team concerning the claim from the rental company. It seems, from what I'm told, the guy who did the deed on this did it with a rental unit.

I'll have to dig up some of the pics from my dad. He has worked for Peabody Coal Co. for about 35 years. You can only imagine what union miners will do to equipment that isn't theirs and know they won't lose their job for doing so! I do have a pic of a D11 dozer that is so buried that the operator simply opened the cab door and walked out (it's about 12' high normally). They were taking out an old lake where they were getting ready to strip mine. The basic rule of thumb is that if you get one D11 stuck, it takes about a full shift and two other D11's to get it out. My dad is used to looking at the cost to the company when somebody buries a large piece of equipment.
