You're still thinking of it as some kind of a mind trick....it's not. It just must not work on all computers I guess. Since I didn't create it, I can't even begin to know why it doesn't work on your system.

I got a prompt to download Shockwave 6, or something like that, in the middle of downloading the picture. The face popped up quick after the download.

Jeff,

So, is this thing supposed to morph?

Sort of....you're supposed to be looking at it really close for something amiss. Then the screen is instantly filled with this aweful looking face as the same time a shrill yell comes from your sound system. I first opened it at midnight in the dark and it scared the crap out of me. It didn't quite scare me as much as the first time I got the rear tire off the ground on the B7500.......but it was close./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Hmm, maybe my firewall or virus software is the problem. All I see is a pretty blocky picture of a room. The links seemed to indicate that the picture itself is supposed to look like a face. Windows are eyes, curtain rods eye brows, etc.

Try it with your sound on. That picture is an animation - the room picture sits there for about 45 seconds, long enough for you to get really close to the screen to spot the details. Suddenly the room picture disappears for one second and there is a scream accompanying a picture of a face, then the room picture returns. It may need a browser add-on to work.

You say that you see a "pretty blocky" picture of a room. Are you saying that the resolution is poor. The picture I see when I bring it up is a standard photo quality picture. Can't imagine why you're seeing something different.

This thing look like a picture, but it actually is a shockwave movie. It has many frames that are identical (the room) with a few frames that are not (the face) in the middle of the movie. If you don't have the shockwave add-in, I thought you wouldn't see anything but a "placeholder" for the movie, but maybe you can see the first frame. I think you may be missing the latest version of Macromedia's Shockwave addin for your web browser. Just go download it Here and then check the movie again
