I don't have a general issue with traction but do have occasional headaches. One being the need to transverse a field to get from my parking area to the drive. This field has a bit of a slope and will inevitably get icy. It doesn't take alot to get the rig sliding sideways or wheels doing the spin. This gets to be a real pain when you get into the 3-4' of snow on the sides and your limited in 'reverse dig-out' maneuver ability because of the plow mounted in the loader.

For those of us with gravel driveways, we loose the advantage of that dark black asphalt soaking up the limited sun and melting off the snow layer. We often end up with a nice frozen mash that can persist for most of the season. I often lay in a heavy layer of sand, not really for the traction, but to get some melting.

I also live in an area that is no stranger to the "winter-mix" We go from a gentle rain to freezing rain to sleet to snow and then back to sleet quite often. Nothing like trying to push that heavy stuff when your running on a layer of ice !!
