Have to put up with some heat and humidity, but summertime produces some good eating.
And we added blackberry cobbler. "Field to Fork", or in the case of the blackberrys, from "Stickers to Fork"
Milton, that okra of yours looks to be producing nicely and the corn is beautiful. Is the corn from your dock garden? My okra is just putting on bloom pods, so it won't be long until I'm eating okra too.
I probably have it too thick still, but it is blooming and producing some pods. The leaves and pods are light green, however, so I threw some fertilizer around the plants.
I'm really trying to take your post seriously. If you are allergic to corn, you must have a terrible time finding food to eat. There are so many corn based products in our food and even non-food stuff that an allergy to corn could make your life a living misery. I can't imagine a life without cornbread or anything with corn meal or corn oil in it. But then again, maybe your allergy is only to whole corn and not corn derived products. Either way, that's a tough one.
One of my favorites is a blackberry cobbler in a Dutch oven cook on the campfire/coals. Pretty amazing the flavor of food made fresh, from scratch. And amazing the things you can whip up in a Dutch oven
Just had some of our Home grown tomatoes in my wifes home cooked Biscuits, with home made pepper jelly, Ummm Ummm good! we hardly let them ripen as we like them green fried, but every now-n-then one will ripen and I got to do something with it,:licking:

Lak, hey man, you ruined some good okra there - boiled I tell ye, boiled - good and slimy, just the way I like it
"I caught some bass,
And a few fine crappie,
Gonna cook 'um up,
For me Mammy and me Pappy,
Biscuits in the oven,
Coffee's in the pot,
I like my fish when they're piping hot,
Mmmm, mmmmm!"
