GPS for the car

See TVNAV for prices on Garmin. They have reconditioned units at times. Also join Garmin Group. I have a GPSMAP 76S. The limits of the Car only units are you can't use them for anything else like geocaching. I have mine wired/mounted on my UTV and use it to map roads and trails. I also have used it to map hunting areas. GPSU is a freeware/shareware program for maintaining trackpoints and waypoints and plotting them over any JPG/BMP/Scanned image. Makes a good map. I plot over topos and ariel photos. I can send copies of some of my maps if you would like.

Just a wild guess here, but I suspect either your wife is blind, is unable to use the computer, or honestly believes you when you tell her that you are looking at **** on the internet when you are really posting on TBN /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think the Magellan RoadMate 700 is the same unit Hertz uses (although I think they have re-badged it). I have had good luck with mine, but have only used it a few times. They are a bit pricey, though.
